The Lilac Box - The Men's Box October 2013

This months, The lilac box comes up with a new idea~ They prepare a box for the mens! While my previous product from the lilac box still have a lot not yet try...(too many thing to try~ 1 month cannot finish :P) Why not buying a box for my man this time #^_^# 

Men...they rarely pamper their skins.. I don't know whether every men was like that? Anyhow my man was :( Wash his face using a cleanser every day and night is the only skin care he did.. LOL :D But his skin are still looks a lot better than mine :( (its born to be... unfair!) But recently I found his skin looks dry and sometimes some part of the skin will even peeled off a little...I guess he need some moisturizer and hydration perhaps? So this lilac box comes in the right time! Let's get the men some skin care starter pack ~_~

After getting the box, he was exciting to unboxed it! I don't even have the time to take photo before he take out this box >_< its ok... just the same with previous box packaging...

Hahahaha... this are the step-by-step guide for the newbie~ How sweet...

 

This is the main pack in the box! It's from Sothys !!! Awesome!!! Awww... this make me envy... The first skin care starter pack he use was Sothy! I remember my very first skin scare... T^T it was only some cheap Watson brand :(  How lucky he is....

Inside the starter pack is the basic 3-step. Cleanser->Toner->Moisturizer. 

Item #1 : Sothys Homme Detoxifying Active Cleanser - 50ml tub / NP: RM99.00 for 126ml

Skin Type : Men

Description : A new daily cleansing gesture to favour the elimination of impurities and to prepare the skin for shaving. Containing very soft cleansing agents, the soap free formula respects the pH, the hydrolipidic film of the skin and fights against the drying effect of hard water. Thanks to its mineral concentration, it promotes a detoxified, radiant and healthier skin.
Direction : Use both morning and evening. Massage onto damp facial skin and work into a lather. Rinse thoroughly with warm water until product is completely removed.

Review : My man has a combination oily skin. He uses clean&clear gel cleanser previously because he like the 'Clean' feeling after wash. His 'Clean' meaning that after wash his face was super dry like wash using a soap. He doesn't like those cleanser after wash the face still feel like smooth and silky. But this cleanser texture he say is acceptable.
"For this cleanser, although my face was not that dry after wash, but not too oily also.. its acceptable. But the good thing is, using this cleanser my face will maintain clean for longer time. It doesn't like the previous one, after wash is very clean.. but the oil come out again super fast.. I think this one is a lot better, at least my face not so oily for all day long :) " - says the man

Item #2 : Sothys Purifying Lotion - 40ml bottle / NP: RM60.00 for 200ml

Skin Type : Best suited for oily skin with blemish problem.

Description : Paraben free Purity Lotion antiseptic, oil-controlling and astringent actives, such as Iris extract, help skin become blemish free and mattified. Alcohol and fragrance-free.
Benefit : 

• Helps control oil.
• Mattifies skin.

Direction : Use morning and evening after cleansing. Shake Lotion well before using and then ,wipe your face and neck with a cotton pad moist with Purity Lotion or use anytime for a refreshing balancing boost.

Review : He loves to use this toner. Maybe it make his face feel fresh after apply? He showed me the cotton pad after he wipe his entire face and neck. Eeek... I saw a lot of dirts on the first day he use! Is that all the dead cells? I'm not sure.. but the dirts become lesser and lesser day by day. :)

Item #3 : Sothys Hydra-Matte Fluid - 15ml tub / NP: RM120.00 for 50ml

Skin Type : Oily skin.

Description : Formulated to absorb excess oil and balance oily secretions. Suitable for oily skin types, this gel-like product softens, hydrates, and mattifies the complexion. It leaves skin looking healthy and beautiful.
Benefit : 

• Gives the complexion a matte appearance; and leaves the skin soft.
• Hydrates and protects the skin.
• Great for helping to keep makeup on.
• Recommended also for men and young skin.

Direction : Use in the morning and/ or evening after cleansing. Spread the fluid gently throughout the face and neck until it is fully penetrated.

Review : He's too lazy to apply this... Unless I apply for him or else he would just abandon this thing.. :( From my application, I feel the texture is kinda watery, not oily at all. Easy application, after apply it absorbs very fast. And then his skin texture become a lot smoother :) Great!

 

Other than the starter pack, there's also things from Crabtree & Evelyn to pamper his body <3

 

Item #4 : Crabtree & Evelyn Citron, Honey & Coriander Refreshing Body Bar - 140g (full size) / NP: RM20.00

Review : This soap was too lovely already.. he still don't willing to open it up and use haha :D

 

Item #5 : Crabtree & Evelyn La Source Relaxing Body Wash - 50ml bottle / NP: RM50.00 for 250ml

Review : Very nice smell!! :D I guess we keep this for our next travel~ ^^

Review : It smells good :D although its small sample size bottle, he still open the it up and uses everyday :) I guess he love the smell too ^^
